Who are we?
A conversation among family and friends one night after dinner years ago gave birth to the idea. What if there was one place where you could go and review kitchen tools before you make the investment. And while you were there pick up a few great recipes to try. Well if there is one thing I love, it’s a good idea, especially if it has something to do with food! That very night I began laying the foundation of what would become TasteHaus.
I reached out to all my fellow foodies! I am blessed to have so many friends that love to cook as much as I do. What resulted was a group of like minded people from all walks of life. All ready to share their top kitchen tools, tricks and mouth-watering recipes.
Kitchen tools, camera’s and FOOD
How many people can you pack into a kitchen? So much cooking, plating and shooting. Oh, and of course eating!!!! This is a shot of our day 1. So many good memories!
From there we moved to one on one shoots. Each video showcasing that particular chefs go to kitchen tools or favorite recipe. We really got to know each other over the months and learned so much. Then COVID happened.
A New Perspective
Well video shoots were now illegal, grocery items were running out everywhere. Kids are HOME! This made me really stop and think. Things changed so drastically, so fast. I had taken for granted the ability to walk into a grocery store and have infinite options. Foods from all over the world. I used to pride myself on only investing in quality kitchen tools, but what were these companies doing to lower their carbon footprint. I started reading, I started learning. What could I do better? I could support companies that build kitchen tools that last and give back be it environmentally or charitably. I could support local farms and meal plan according to what is in season. Ditch harmful chemicals and find better ways to clean. These were just the jumping off point for me. This is the new path in TasteHaus’ journey. The entire TasteHaus team invites you to join us today. Let’s get started!
